KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd’s unit HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd (HSSI) has secured a variation order worth RM16.6mil to provide supervising works for section nine of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) from Serendah to Port Klang.
In a press release issued yesterday, the engineering and project management consultant said the project entails a 53.5km stretch, consisting of tunnels and viaducts, at grade-sections and stations.

“The overall construction works for the ECRL is well underway with reported progress of 28.57% as at April 2022.
“Our deep engineering knowledge and experience in managing infrastructure mega projects, positions us well to facilitate increasing volume of trade between East and West Peninsular.,
“In so doing, we are supporting the national agenda of continuous economic development nationwide,” she added.
The project works are due to be completed by the fourth quarter of the financial year ending Dec 31, 2027.
Alongside this latest contract win, the group noted that its unbilled orderbook stood at RM530mil year-to-date, providing earnings visibility till 2027.
In Dec 2017, HSSI accepted a letter of appointment from China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd to provide supervising consultancy services for infrastructure works of ECRL’s section nine worth RM82.5mil.
